Say you're President Barack Obama. Back during the campaign - you know, that thing that ended in November of last year...I'm not sure he's aware it's over - people made quite a big deal over your decrying the gross disingeniousness of wearing an American flag lapel pin. They also made quite a big deal out of this picture of him not placing his hand over his heart during the national anthem at this campaign stop:
Well, say you became the President of the United States. Don't you think you'd go out of your way to always salute or place your hand over your heart, especially if it were at, ya know, your first Veterans Day ceremony as Commander-in-Chief?
